There is so many ways to make a Yorkshire pudding, this is my way and its never failed me. If you have a different method, I would love to hear it, so leave a comment. Also if you want to make toad in the hole, just use a big oven dish, cook the sausages in the oven, half way through the cooking time, add the batter and return to a hot oven.
- 1/2 pint milk
- 4oz plain flour
- pinch of salt
- 3 eggs
cupcake or muffin tray
Personally I just throw it all into a bowl and use my kitchen aid to give it a good mix, you might want to add the milk bit by bit if mixing by hand.
Place some oil into each section, just enough to cover the bottom, and then place into a very hot oven (240-250°C/475°F/gas 9) When they oil is very hot and nearly smoking, very carefully using a jug pour the mixture into the 12 sections.
Return back to the oven and wait for the golden beauties to rise, it will take approx 15-20mins.
YUMMY! We serve these with all roasts in this house, chicken, lamb, beef, it doesnt matter!
