Do you know when you buy some thing you love and it just inspires you to create a whole look around that item. Well I recently purchased 2 things that inspired this look. My beautiful Monstera Deliciosa plant, I have been looking for a nice one for a while and finally found one in Lidl of all places and The Book of Palms which is such a pretty book to have out on display.
So I headed to Pinterest for some inspiration on the way others have used large palm leaf prints. I instantly fell in love and knew I wanted this bold look in the hallway. We don’t have much room for furniture but we have a small sideboard to store shoes, keys etc and I have space under the stairs which currently houses the tumble drier and printer (need to find another home for these).
The floors are already done, sorry I had just mopped before taking these pictures. Ignore the pink paint samples, I did have a bit of a wobble and considered a pink ombre wall. I think that was just Pinterest getting under my skin haha. Ombre walls do look beautiful, but not sure the big wall up the stairs would be the best one to try it on.
So this is what I need to buy, plus paint and decorating supplies, which I will get from the Valspar range at B&Q. They can match the paint to the wallpaper perfectly, and after my experience of the deep blue in the sitting room, its now my firm favourite brand. Still need to look at the best way of painting up the large wall, Ive normally done my hallways white and used a roller on a pole, but I need to cut into the ceiling. Any ideas?

I have a sideboard that I picked up from a charity a few months back for a bargain price of £14. I really want to spray paint it pink, but I need to work on the husband on that one. If I can’t talk him around, it will be painted yellow.
All the woodwork and staircase will be be a bright matt white, and the walls will be a deep green matched to the wallpaper.
Well there it is, my tropical hallway mood board. I am so excited to get started. It will be my Easter holiday project. What do you think?
