It is so nice to finally say it is spring time, and I am seeing evidence every where. Our front garden is full of Muscari flowers, it’s hard to resist the urge to cut them, and put in little vases around the house. Looking out at the front, it reminds me that I really must get on and trim the hedge as its growing so quickly and blocking my view now.
Last week I had some super exciting news, after a couple of really crappy months with bad news about my health. It was needed and came just at the right time. I had collaborated with Blue Dragon to create a dish using their products to celebrate the Chinese New Year along with a few others bloggers with the HIBS100 website. Well they only went and picked my post as their favourite, meaning I won a £500 amazon voucher.
I did briefly consider saving it in my amazon account for Christmas, but it was time to upgrade my camera. I have been relying on my trusty Nikon D3200 which I do love, and its guide option really helps. But it is time I learnt to move away from auto and guide, I want to learn how to achieve great photos from skill. Plus I think the extra effort I put into my post by creating a video helped and I want to spend more time making films. So it felt the right time to make the jump to a better camera, and one with a flip out screen.
